Web 2.0 opened a whole new window for me! Now I am much more confident about using web and give customer suggestions. Thank you for doing that!

Ebooks

netlibrary, http://www.ebooks.com/, Amazon and Project Gutenburg are useful website for people who like ebooks. There are a lot of free books on there. People can view books online or download into their own computer to read them. We also can transfer ebooks into our portable PC or cellphone, so we can read them any time we want without carrying heave books. Searched my favourite author --- Jane Austen and it gave me a good result. However, when I searched my favourite book --- Gone with the wind, I couldn't fine it.

Podcasts

Took a look at Podcast.com about book reviews. And added two RSS into my Bloglines account:

• The New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/
• The Book Show http://www.abc.net.au/rn/bookshow/

If there is any customer ask me about book reviews in the future, I will definitely tell them about these websites!

YouTube

I was a little bit lost when I tried to blog a YouTube video. So, I used the "help" button, by searching "Working with Blogs"! Then, I found the way... It was very easy after I learned it!

YouTube really have a lot of good videos and also not worth watching staff too. I like monkey, so I want to share this one with everyone. Please enjoy it!

"Any features or components of the site that might be applied to library websites?" Maybe we can make a video about the procedures of joining in library.

Web 2.0 Tools

Explored Web 2.0 Awards. There are so many options to choose. I am interested in travelling, so I made some searches by using Farecast ( the 1st place under travelling), I got the most updated flight and hotel information. It is very convenience!

Online productivity tools

The online tools are so convenience! It avoids the format difference between computers, and let user find and edit their documents without any physical saving tools.

Week 7 (step 17): Social networking

I am very familiar with the Social network, I always use MSN to communicate with my friends and family back at home country. It really saved a lot of money and people actually can see each other!

Signed up for bebo and facebook and took a look at Auckland City Library's bebo. It is a cool site, will take me the whole afternoon to look at it. I am going to spend more time to read those some other time.
